Mia-Platform mentioned in the 2025 Gartner® Reference Architecture Brief: Private Cloud Infrastructure as a Service

16 July 2025 – Mia-Platform has been mentioned in the Gartner Reference Architecture Brief: Private Cloud Infrastructure as a Service, 2025 in the Platform Orchestrator section. The analysis was conducted by Douglas Toombs and Paul Delory.

According to the Gartner report, “Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) capabilities have historically provided for virtual machine instances (and the necessary associated disk and network capabilities to support them) to be provisioned on-demand for customers via a self-service portal. Bare-metal server systems have also become a mainstream offering, for use cases that might work better without a hypervisor. Additionally, with the rise in interest in OS containers in 2016 (and orchestration platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes), these capabilities could also be considered to be IaaS in some configurations.”.

Moreover, “Gartner finds that the challenges to private cloud adoption are significant and require a high level of investment from organizations. A private cloud IaaS capability is a potential solution for organizations that need core infrastructure services in a cloudlike consumption model, but otherwise have various restrictions or hesitations about using public cloud services.”
