November 29, 2021 – Mia-Platform confirms its exponential growth, after it was ranked by Financial Times as the second Italian tech company in the prestigious FT 1000 ranking, out of 1,000 candidates across Europe. In only 5 years after its foundation, Mia-Platform is achieving the goal of 10 million euros turnover and 130 employees at the end of 2021. Its growth continues in the international scenario with the opening of a new office in London: “This is the starting point to accelerate the distribution of our digital platform on a global scale”, states Federico Soncini Sessa, CEO at Mia-Platform.
Mia-Platform is growing beyond expectations. Founded in 2016, the Italian tech company is now a key player in the market of technological solutions for the end-to-end creation of cloud native digital platforms.
2021 is a record year for Mia-Platform: the company is about to achieve the goal of 10 million euros turnover (+54% compared to 2020 and +4000% compared to 2016) and of 130 employees (+75% compared to 2020).
Not only numbers confirm the outstanding growth of the tech company. In fact, Mia-Platform was selected by Financial Times as the second fastest growing Italian tech company in the prestigious ranking “FT 1000”, out of 1,000 companies across Europe. Moreover, the company entered the top 10 fastest growing tech companies in the Growth Champions 2022 ranking by ITQF and in the Growth Leaders 2022 ranking by Statista.
Its technological excellence was recognized by leading global organizations such as the technology research and consulting company Gartner (nomination as “Cool Vendor for Software Engineering Technologies” in 2021 report) and the Cloud Native & Computing Foundation (CNCF), the foundation that joins the best developers, vendors and users of open source cloud native technologies at an international level.
2021 is also the year of internationalization. In fact, Mia-Platform has opened its firts foreign office at London’s TechHub to strengthen its presence in the international market.
The pandemic could have been a threat for our growth. On the contrary, we have achieved great results thanks to the excellence of our product and business model. That’s why we chose to start our internationalization path and opened a new office in London. The UK is the largest high tech market in Europe and is able to attract huge capitals. Moreover, investments in digital transformation are increasing constantly. Mia-Platform offers a flexible platform which is able to meet for any market needs. We believe that our new office in London is just the first step of our international expansion: we plan to open new branches in Europe and in the USA in the following years.
Federico Soncini Sessa, CEO @ Mia-Platform
A key factor that supported Mia-Platform growth is its international partner network. Launched in 2020, Mia-Platform Partner Program counts more than 20 consulting companies and system integrators. Mia-Platform’s business partners operate in whole Europe and accelerated the distribution of the product worldwide.
With the opening of our new office in London we want to support Large Enterprises in their digital transformation journey. Our solid, innovative and easy-to-use digital platform is able to accelerate their transformation. We have received positive feedback from the banking and financial markets, and we know that we can offer huge benefits in other industries too.
Federico Soncini Sessa, CEO @ Mia-Platform
During its growth path, Mia-Platform has always promoted sustainable development as one of the pillars of its company culture. The company has realized several sustainability initiatives since its foundation.
For example, in 2021 Mia-Platform has bought and planted one tree for every employee and participated to an initiative of reforestation of the Parco Nord in Milan, planting more that 700 trees to create a urban forest.
Starting from October 2021, the company started a collaboration to manage the disposal of underperforming old company laptops. Such devices cannot be used by developers to code, but are suitable for domestic use. Mia-Platform is now donating all old laptops to an association that redistributes the devices to families, students and associations that needs them.
